Our Platform
Viscoelastometry involves real-time analysis of clot formation in whole blood, allowing concurrent assessment of multiple aspects of coagulation including clotting factors, platelets, fibrinogen and fibrinolysis. Tests can be performed rapidly, supporting prompt identification and characterization of coagulopathy and anticoagulant effects. This enables focused, rational and timely administration of therapies such as blood products, and the effects of treatment can be monitored as required.

Applications

Viscoelastometry is widely used in clinical conditions where coagulopathy and bleeding are of concern. These include trauma, major surgery (e.g. cardiovascular procedures) and obstetrics. Clinical use of viscoelastometry is advocated in guidelines from national and international societies and is regarded as best practice by many institutions.
